Sarah Palin had Called for Gabrielle Giffords to be targeted - Even says Shoot an M16!

This won't go over well!  It seems Sarah Palin had called for Gabrielle Giffords to be targeted and even used the words "Shoot a fully automatic M16".  I doubt MSM will pick this up.

Gabrielle Giffords was shot today at point blank range and amazingly and thankfully is still alive in Tucson Arizona.  6 other people were killed including a 9 year old child and a Federal Judge.  Killing those in power is not the way to accomplish anything.  It is so sad, lives were taken, including an innocent 9 year old child.

I have no doubt this incident will now cause a further clamp down of the people and our government officials will use it to insulate themselves from those who elected them.

But what is also disturbing is Sarah Palin called for her to be targeted in June 2010.  It was obvious in it was an election political piece, but it still called for shooting her with an M16.

Citizen for a legit govt. found this information.

She used Cross hairs for those she wanted targeted!

EDIT 1/9/11 - New York Daily News picked up the story, they say Palin is to blame and the blood is on her hands for the shooting as she incited violence with her cross hair map and calling for Giffords to be targeted.

EDIT - 1/9/11 - Huffinington Post has an article saying "End of Access" -

My personal comment about it: We the people will no longer have access to those Washington D.C. buildings which we pay for and are suppose to be the "people's buildings". I have no doubt we will not have access to our elected officials either in the near future. This horrendous event will become another reason for our elected officials to distance themselves from those who elect them.  They will become even more "elite" and above all of the population of the U.S..

EDIT - 1/9/11 - Boehner comment on shooting:

Boehner Condemns Attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords

Washington (Jan 8)
Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement condemning the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and members of her staff today in Tucson, AZ:

“I am horrified by the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and members of her staff.  An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve.  Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society.  Our prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords, her staff, all who were injured, and their families.  This is a sad day for our country

My comment in regards to what he said:
Why does he say "on those who serve, have no place in society"?  Us regular people are shot everyday by others on the streets of the U.S..  There is no place for violence for anyone!   Is he putting those who are elected above all the rest of us?   Violence should be condemned no matter who it is against, not just the "elite" of Washington.  He is definitely setting up the fact they feel "they are better than the rest of us", thus should be protected more.  Here comes a spending bill, just for elected officials to be protected.  I have no doubt they will use Blackwater type mercenaries to do so.

  1. There is a huge a difference between saying shoot a full auto and saying shoot it at someone. Sarah Palin killed no one nor Rush Limbaugh or etc.A mentally disturbed young man did. The elite do feel they are better than us,and they feel they do need insulated from us.

  2. I had just found your site a couple of weeks ago and started following it because of your awesome coverage of the mortgage mess. However, I'm really disappointed to see that you are jumping on the "blame Sarah Palin" bandwagon this morning. It's obvious she was not calling for someone to shoot Congresswoman Giffords. The blame needs to be placed on the young man that did this, and possibly on those folks who knew he was disturbed and threatening and did little or nothing about it.

  3. I am not blaming Palin, she did not put a gun in the person's hands. But when you use the metaphor with guns for getting someone out of office. Then a person who is mentally disturbed can take it literally.

What is funny, is those who are in office can threaten another in office, but when a regular person says something, now the officials will be all over it. Who knows how much they will cut down on allowing people to disagree with elected officials.
