New Island in Canary Islands has surfaced due to underwater volcano. Video - pictures of New Island
This is so cool in many ways. Yet people have had to evacuate their homes on El Hierro - La Restinga, due to the off shore underwater volcano that has spewed water and rocks 60 feet into the air. A new island is now off shore of El Hierro, it came out of the water.
It is molten rock from the volcano.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry sherrie, but those are just bubbles from the underwater volcanic eruption, not new land at all. Its true that a new island can emerge, according to specialists, but not just yet has that happened, so...
