Tennessee Introducing Major Gun Protection - NO Restrictions on Guns, Any Federal Law NULL AND VOID in Tennessee!

The Tennessee House and Senate have introduced bills that protect all guns in Tennessee.  It also makes any Federal Laws for gun control or bans - NULL AND VOID!

Sen. Beavers and Rep. Butt Introduce Strong New Legislation to Stop Gun Control

Sen. Mae Beavers and Rep. Sheila Butt introduced a bill Tuesday to amend the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act of 2009 so that it adds bold new protections for Tennessee firearms owners.  The original Firearms Freedom Act exempted from federal law and authority firearms that were manufactured, sold, and retained in Tennessee.
Going several steps further, SB 0250 and the companion bill HB 0248 provide protection for all firearms, even those not manufactured in Tennessee.  The bill states:
“The general assembly declares that any federal action prohibited by this chapter relating to firearms, firearms accessories or ammunition, whether made in Tennessee or not, is not authorized by the United States constitution and violates the restrictions contained therein and is hereby declared to be invalid in this state; that said federal action shall not be recognized by this state; and that said federal action is rejected by this state and shall be null and void and of no effect in this state.”

HB 0042 Filed to Stop Federal Gun Control in Tennessee

Today, Rep. Joe Carr unveiled his legislation to protect Tennesseans against a potential gun ban or registration scheme out of Washington, DC.  Sen. Joey Hensley has agreed to carry the bill in the Senate.  The new Tennessee bill is a verbatim copy of an earlier version of the Wyoming bill currently pending before their state legislature.

Tennessee’s HB 0042 provides for misdemeanor penalties like the earlier version of the Wyoming bill.  Because Rep. Carr specifically told the Tennessee Tenth Amendment Center that he feels it is important that the states pass exactly the same bill with exactly the same verbiage, he is looking at filing an amendment to match to the latest version of the Wyoming legislation.

The bill, which is fully endorsed by the Tennessee Firearms Association, was specifically written to cover all of the points in the model legislation released by the Tennessee Tenth Amendment Center and more.  It will block all of the following federal attempts at firearms regulation with Class B felony criminal penalties:
(1) Infringe on, ban, regulate, or restrict state government, local government or civilian ownership, transfer, possession or manufacture of a firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition in this state;
(2) Require any state government, local government or civilian owned firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition in this state to be registered or tracked in any manner; or
(3) Impose federal taxes, fees or any other charges on any state government, local government or civilian owned firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that are payable to any government entity.
Should any Tennesseans be prosecuted by the federal government for alleged firearms-related crimes, SB 0250/HB 0248 provides for this scenario as well.  The attorney general is authorized to provide defense for the accused and work to invalidate or nullify such federal actions.

  1. But even as this legislation is being promulgated, Tennessee authorities allow the TSA to set up checkpoints on highways in Tennessee.
Time for Tennesseans to nullify TSA checkpoints.
State nullification of illlegal/unconstitutional federal laws is the appropriate constitutional response to federal overreach.
Tennessee should be applauded- now get the crotch grabbers the hell off the highways!

    1. The same shit happened two years ago for about six months in NC. These SOB's driving in brand new Dodge Chargers and operating under the guise of Highway patrol terrorized without warrants anyone they didn't like or understand driving up and down the highways or secondary roads. Some said it was DEA, but it could of also been TSA?

    2. Absolutely right. The DHS and TSA have been extremely aggressive in asserting their fictitious and unconstitutional authority in this state in particular. Following the firearms bill should be a series of nullifying legislation: for the NDAA, all executive orders, the Patriot Act and every other Constitutional infringement that has been served upon us in the name of security and safety in response to the 9/11 fiction.

    3. Every single one of these agents who operates in violation of their constitutional oath, by enforcing illegal unconstitutional acts is in clear violation of the United States Constitution, their oath of employment and in particular, 42 U.S.C. section 1983, which calls for personal lawsuits by victims of federal/state officials who, operating under color of state law, illegally enforce rules/statutes which are violations of the constitution.
Make sure you get their names and addresses and use the appropriate legal process to take all of their personal assets, including, especially their homes.

    2. You can try and be as derogatory as you want. But obviously Tennessee is way ahead of the other "sophisticated" states as N.Y. Tennessee understands the Constitution and the highest law of the land. Better living in Tennessee than in a Nanny state as N.Y. where you are watched every step you take on the street, you aren't allowed too big of sodas and you are considered a "terrorist" if you are a law abiding citizen utilizing your 2nd amendment rights. So go ahead make fun of Tennessee. We will be laughing all the way to FREEDOM as given to us by our Bill of Rights, as you are having your guns confiscated!

    3. very intelligent comment, "anonymouse"

you're fact based argument really reveals your lack of credibilty on ANY subject....and you 'think' YOU'RE all that smart?

Your typical boring liberal rant bores me, your wit is non existant, and you are irrelevant in intelligent discussions.

YOU are the reason why the world is in as bad a crisis as it is, YOU are part of the proble, NOT a solution :)

  3. This legislation will simply be nullified by the courts. Until we take back our courts, we have nothing. Citizens no longer have direct access to grand juries but must rely on the district attorney to present any complaint thus insulating the public from their only legal recourse against criminal government. Further, an indictment by a grand jury must be prosecuted by that same district attorney. Judges routinely deny litigants due process and instruct petite juries falsely to influence verdicts. "Jail For Judges" will address these deficiencies. When judges must choose between according due process to litigants, or going to jail for failing to do so, is when we will receive due process and not a minute before..

    2. I don't believe that is accurate. Citizen grand juries are authorized by the constitution and some groups have already organized them. I know that the DAs WANT the public to think that we have to go through them, but the power resides with citizens.

  6. Passing laws to dis-empower the citizens has continued from the early days of the Republic down to the present. This has been a recurring strategy used by the elites to sidestep the democratic process.
After all, there's always been far less of them than there are members of the non-elite.
Using laws to control and manipulate the population became a much easier means of control than the historical use of physical force.
The same legal strategy is used by the elites to control virtually every aspect of the society.
An example of one of their more insidious examples is when they set their sites on a country to steal its resources, pressure that country through sanctions and provocation to react, after the reaction, pass a resolution to defend the 'national security', send in troops and then get the public to 'Support Our Troops' with anyone not supporting the troops labeled a terrorist.
If anyone questions the motives of the government administrators (members of the legislature, executive, judiciary) they are labeled and denigrated as unpatriotic and/or 'conspiracy theorists' at best and traitors at worst.
All the while, the controlling elites hide behind these surrogate/administrators, so that the real culprits are never blamed for the manipulation and criminal activity they are responsible for.
Their front men and women pass the dis-empowering laws, profess that we are nation that abides by 'the rule of law', and demands that the citizens support these dis-empowering laws or be subject to the actions of their surrogate law enforcers.
These same elites have utilized their surrogates to create various ways to sidestep the democratic voting process by passing laws that serve to disenfranchise the groups that they want to prevent from voting.
It's all been a slowly evolving system of expedient control that has developed from the early days of the republic, when the elites drafted the constitution and began passing the various manipulative and dis-empowering laws that we are subjected to in the present.

  7. From the People's Republic of Illinois:

This is the land of Eastern European, e.g., Lithuanians, Poles, Russians, Ukrainians, Serbians, Croatians, Macedonians, Albanians, Romanians, Czechs, and other assorted Europeans, e.g., Irish, Germans, Italians, and the sprinkling of others.

Predominantly, we are socialists here in Illinois. Nothing like what happened in Tennessee will ever happen here. This is a Socialist country run my Chicago Jews who are Fascists and Communists.

  8. Does the proscription of federal gun laws extend to automatic weapons which have been heavily restricted by the feds since 1934?
The points made about the courts are very apposite.
If anything, the same is even more true about the TSA being allowed to set up checkpoints in Tennessee.
This Bill appears to be good news, but won't mean much if the courts and the TSA continue to run roughshod over the rights of the people.

  9. So basically the "Beavers-Butt Bill" doesn't give a rat's ass what the feds do.

  10. That's a first step, Badger; then, abolish that deviant agency altogether. Following the dismemberment of TSA, the next step is to dismember DHS and arrest Secretary Janet Nepolitano and her minions. With those two deviants out of the way, we can then heed Tennessee's call and protect ALL legal gun owners and take semi-automatics off the Feds' target list.

  11. None of these alphabet agencies have any authority outside of the limits of D.C. - tell them to shove it at a check point or sue them in their private capacity if they harm you.

Also, apparently few realize that almost no one owns a 'firearm' in this country. Look up the definition of firearm in the Firearms control act 193? and the other so called laws. Firearms are described as shotguns under 18 inches and pistols/revolvers with smooth bores modified to shoot shotgun shells. You all own 'Arms' not 'Firearms'. Start reading these laws and their definitions and get on Talkshoe and listen to Rod Class and Howard Griswold.

  12. the 9th and 10th amendments are about all, we, as american citizens have to protect us from emporer bho, and his minions. if our states will not rise up, then it all comes down to things out of our nightmares. with the marxism, and socialism being shoved down our throats, it is truly over the time when we can say enough is enough. when the push finally comes to the shove, and the feds begin to choke the life out of us for one last time, before all hell breaks loose, i wonder if any of them have thought of these thoughts; just how many of them are there really, and just how many of us own guns? and can they really contain us all-all at once?
