Portion:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Bank of America is halting foreclosure sales in all 50 states as part of a widening investigation into flaws in the process, the company announced Friday.
The announcement came a week after the nation's largest bank said it was freezing home foreclosures in 23 states where foreclosures must be approved by the courts. Friday's announcement by Bank of America extends a review of foreclosure documents to all states, regardless of the required legal processes.

"Our ongoing assessment shows the basis for our past foreclosure decisions is accurate," said Bank of America (BAC, Fortune 500) spokesman Dan Frahm in an e-mailed statement. "We continue to serve the interests of our customers, investors and communities."

  1. Isn't this interesting... We owned 2 houses in NY state. One in Wayne County and another in Madison County. The one in Wayne County was already with BAC and the one in Madison was bought out by BAC.
I am not sure what happened to Countrywide Loans and First Franklin but this is where they are now.
One we lived in till we couldn't afford to heat it or later pay the monthly payment as the interest and being on a fixed income made it unbearable. The one in Madison County a Lady lives in and has sherked me over two years of rent, being on a fixed income we couldnt afford to finish the eviction process and get her out of the house and the judge in Madison County Don Cerio held up and didnt approve the forclosure for whatever the reason. So there sits a famlily living off SS and Welfare, living in my house till its sold at forclosure.

Neither house has a sale date set and for a time table, this is our 3rd winter not in NY state, not living in either of our homes. We have chosen to rent where it is more affordable currently. Rent in NY even in rural NY is way to high and as I listen to my own aging parents complaining that hey cannot afford to heat their home and as everyone looses their jobs and is on SS, I wonder what is to become of all of us "poor folks" who are what once was called the working class poor. Were all BAC loans MERS related ?

    Linda
who wishes she would just sell both even on short sales and say no more about the disappointment it has caused my heart to deal with those who steal from the poor and pay the rich....
