N.Y. Newspaper Gun owner Map, Inmates intimidating Guards (know where they live now)

Edit to add 1/8/13- Article NRA is not just about Guns it is about our FREEDOMS!

The newspaper in N.Y. that does not believe in our Freedoms and Rights to the 2nd amendment and decided to put thousands of legal gun owners at risk has done more damage now.

I had written about how the media and government have become the big bullies in intimidating those citizens who utilize their 2nd amendment rights.

The Journal News in N.Y. put an interactive map online of gun owners in various counties.  Since then one county (Putnam) has refused to give them the gun owners information and the newspaper has hired armed guards due to the backlash they have received.

You have to wonder if those armed guards they have hired, are listed on their interactive maps or if they have selectively omitted their names and addresses as gun owners.

The journal, a Gannet owned newspaper has attempted along with the government to make gun owners considered as bad as pedophiles and murders.   It is a concentrated effort to intimidate all who believe in the Freedoms and Rights of the 2nd amendment and try and shame them.

Their little stunt has now put current and retired law enforcement at risk.

Inmates in jails and prisons are now intimidating the guards and law enforcement telling them they know where they live.

Imagine all those who have testified against real murders and convicts and how their family and own lives are at risk now.

The Journal will have blood on their hands if anything happens to law abiding citizens, especially if they are involved in law enforcement and a convict commits a "revenge" act against them.

Portion from article:

Law enforcement officials from a New York region where a local paper published a map identifying gun owners say prisoners are using the information to intimidate guards.

Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco, who spoke at a news conference flanked by other county officials, said the Journal News' decision to post an online map of names and addresses of handgun owners Dec. 23 has put law enforcement officers in danger.

"They have inmates coming up to them and telling them exactly where they live.

The Journal is standing by their maps and are trying to do more.  The question is how many lives are they going to be responsible for?

We can not be intimidated out of our 2nd amendment right to Bear Arms!

  1. Just like this newspaper did not consider the consequences of their article, people who want to ban guns are not thinking of the consequences of an actual gun ban. They are not thinking about the 2,000,000 rapes, robberies, murders, and assaults that are stopped every year by private gun owners. They are ignoring the statistics that show that violent crime always rises after strict gun control laws are enforced. They also ignore the history of Democide (murder of millions of their own people by governments) in the 20th century. Gun control does not work. Gun bans only increase the danger in society.

    1. There is only one thing on which I would disagree with you. You wrote, "Just like the newspaper did not consider..."

I do think they considered. I think most everything these Constitution-hating people do is well-calculated. It may not always bring about the result they intended but I think they do try to plan carefully.

I think most people want to see good in others, so they think, "If only they had considered..." but, IMO, they probably did exactly that.

  2. What's wrong with a little revenge? When the courts don't dispense justice, the best we can hope for is some justices being dispensed with.

    1. I totally DISAGREE with your comment! It is WRONG in all respects!

  3. I don't think this rag will last much longer. They have opened up a cancer that will spill out violently against the innocent gun owner, and
sooner or later a crime that can be traced back to this COMMUNIST rag WILL happen to a gun owner or a non gun owner! Gannet should wind up in court for inciting violence against legal gun owners. The suits resulting from this should send Gannet packing for the Virgin Islands. If a non gun owner gets hit because of this list, the perps from this rag
should go to the nastiest prison on earth!

  4. I like your blogg and you write a lot of important things to wake people up. I realize that many Americans (because of a text written in the 1700's, another time, no offense) think that they have the right to own weapons because of the second amendment. That's fine, but if you think a little bit deeper about weapons, is it not really a 3D thing that we have to let go of if we want to grow as humans? Hm, maybe it's time to release some fear. I know we can't trust our governments, but weapons is not something we want in the future and we should be enlighted enough to realize this. Keep up the good work about truth and a better world, but please realize that weapons is not a solution for an enlighted being (as I think you are). Be well! /Peder in Sweden

    1. You have got to be kidding? Right? This clown that wrote this reply clearly doesn’t understand what the 2nd amendment is about as he is not from this country and it’s not in his blood! “Text written in the 1700” ==== Peder in Sweden, you really should know better….get your heard out of you’re a**. I fear there may be some of his type living in this country, God help us!!

    2. The second amendment was to retain a militia in the early days of America as there was no standing army or state militia.
We now have a huge army , and all kinds of police agencies falling over each other , you are misreading the meaning of the 2nd amendment and it should have been taken out of the constitution once an army and militia was formed.
It was not , so now we have this gun culture and entitlement mentality that is not going away anytime soon but eventually something will have to be done about the 300 million guns floating around and easily accessed by any loser who has an axe to grind or a mental problem.
I do not automatically assume all ( legal ) gun owners will always be mentally stable so they should be assessed every few years to see if they continue to have all their marbles but to do nothing about these slaughters happening on a monthly basis is being part of the problem don't you think Billy Bob ?
