HCON 107 Introduced to the Committee on the Judiciary of Congress - Bill to Impeach Obama, due to Military Force without Congress Approval

Well looks like things are really getting interesting.  First Greece defaulted today 3/9/12 and the derivatives are going to kick in, to who knows how many trillions of bets Wall Street has made on it.  Which by the way might kick in those "bank holidays" that could come up soon.  So as a little hint, you may just want to get lots of your money out of the banks in the next couple of days, just in case.

But what this post is really about is that Rep. Jones out of North Carolina has introduced HCON 107 into the house and it is going to the Committee on the Judiciary for the Impeachment of Obama.

This is for him authorizing military force without the consent of Congress.  Since Congress is the only one that can declare a war.

Well here is yet another popcorn event... gosh I sure am going to be needing a lot in the next couple of months with all that is going on.

Oh, I guess Obama won't like this distraction during an election year and of course his spin machines will claim it is being done just because it is an election year too.

Here is the full Bill:

H.CON.RES.107 -- Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high... (Introduced in House - IH)

HCON 107 IH

112th CONGRESS
2d Session
H. CON. RES. 107
Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

March 7, 2012

Mr. JONES submitted the following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Expressing the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.
Whereas the cornerstone of the Republic is honoring Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That it is the sense of Congress that, except in response to an actual or imminent attack against the territory of the United States, the use of offensive military force by a President without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress violates Congress's exclusive power to declare war under article I, section 8, clause 11 of the Constitution and therefore constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.

  2. This would be great except it is just more BS. They can't even get Obummer, to produce a real birth certificate. Few if any in Congress will support this. We have no friends in Washington.

  3. ??? What? LOL! It is not for the "for the Impeachment of Obama"! Your having a laugh, correct? Its a restatement of the roll of Congress! Is this piece a joke?

    1. I don't believe you read the bill. I am quite confused with your comment. The bill is for real and it is for the impeachment of Obama.

    2. I read the bill as you post it and it does not mention Obama.

Furthermore, it weakens the Constitution by making exceptions whereby the President may use force.

      (The Congress shall have Power)
      Clause 11: To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

Thus, the idiot proposing this is an idiot.

All that said, I am no fan of the Constitution and consider it a poor excuse of a lawful framework. Unfortunately, it is commonly accepted as all we have despite the fact it is widely disregarded. Consequently, it is a worthless piece of paper.

Therefore, we are all doomed and this conversation is moot.

The elite will continue to do whatever they wish as we argue the finer points of their "law" until we go broke and die.

Usury kills. Outlaw interest. Question that. SYRIA = BOOM!

    3. It IS what our country was founded on, and what the president pledged to uphold when he was inaugurated. It IS what he is now disregarding and it IS the grounds for impeachment. So, go for it Congress!

    4. With the attitude Steven G, has about our constitution being a worthless pieces of paper, is the reason our nation is in the mess it is now. Honestly, our amendments are the only structure that has kept our foundations together. Regardless to how bad our situations have ended, without our constitution America wouldn't have any (historic) ethnicity or purpose in existing. Those who fought for our freedom under our constitution didn't die in vain!

    1. You know what...we should have! This left/right paradigm is a red herring. They ALL need to be impeached!

  6. Martial law is next and that will end any of this foolishness about crimes against the Constitution. Laws permitting the "President" to do this were written for a reason and we're about to see why.

  7. Congressman Jones is from North Carolina, not South Carolina.

  8. Looks more like it's a warning than an actual move to Impeach. They could already Impeach him for the strike on Libya, but I see no mention of it in the bill. Resolution Calls for Impeachment... if... Obama Does Not Seek War Authorization from Congress.

    1. As I see it and read it, I thought immediately it was over Libya, but considering Panetta's testimony the other day it was also a warning that "International" consent is not what the constitution allows for war. Only the Congress can make a declaration of War.

Panetta kept saying NATO and the UN is all the President needs.

This is a shot across the bow saying "Don't take us into Syria or Iran, without the approval of Congress." Which of course Congress would approve, since they all love war and have to do what their masters say.

But upon reading this, my thought again is that it is over Libya, which is a little late, but still applies.

    2. We'll see. I think Bruce Fein has proposed impeachment proceedings as well. He works closely with Ron Paul, so this could be a watershed moment if Ron Paul gets involved. Something has to be done soon.

  9. You know what's funny? Not only will this bill go absolutely nowhere... While Obama administration is dealing with this in court, he will launch another undeclared war on Syria, without anybodies approval! ... then what?

Americans will still sit on their ass, watching TV and thinking everything will be just fine.... riiiighhht.

  10. Respectfully there is a difference between a resolution & articles of impeachment. This is a formal notice of intent to impeach IF he uses military force without congressional approval and months too late for Libya, but it might just save Syria/Iran and the tipping point into WWIII.

  13. This is a warning notice... if Obama intervenes militarily in Syria or Iran without the consent of the congress he will be facing an order of impeachment.

    1. Good enough for me. But the problem is that the Congress would jump on going to war with Iran. Their masters would demand them to. They are all little puppets on strings that jump when their strings are pulled and it is not by the American's people voice that pulls the strings.

  15. Hey look - This is all bullshit. Obama will never be impeached and he knows it. I have no idea who is really running this country but it's not Obama just like it wasn't Bush either when he held the office. Our country is so fricken corrupted it's pathetic. I do think they've (whoever that is) has done a very good job of dividing us and if we're ever going to take our country back we're going to have to come together and realize its us against Washington.

  16. Total partisan crock of s h i t. Libya was not an act of war. No ground troops, no active fighting, very limited supporting role in it. It's again another indication that we are in the most difficult and extremely partisan environment ever in this country. There is no country any more in DC it's a black and white fight. Dems vs Repubs.

And remember, when the Dems won in 06 and 08 they took the high road, they didn't launch any criminal investigations into the Bush regime although many many people wanted it. They instead chose to move forward instead of dragging the country through the mud. Wish I could say the same of the current crop of amateurs in the House.
